Diabetic patient should take regular exercise and take medication which have been prescribed for them.
ABCs of diabetes diet
The goal of nutrition for people with diabetes is to attain the ABCs of diabetes. The A stands for the A1c or hemoglobin A1c test, which measures average blood sugar over the previous three months. B is for blood pressure, and C is for cholesterol. People with diabetes should attain as near as normal blood sugar control (HbA1c), blood pressure, and healthy cholesterol levels.
Diabetics should take different variety of food. Foods that are rich in fiber are best for them. Diabetics who eat an average 30 grams of fiber daily, take regular exercise, take medication on time have their cholesterol level normal.
Diabetic patient should take advice from nutrition expert, get a meal plan for them and should stick to that plan.
Although usual belief is that sugar must not be taken by diabetics, but diabetic patient are also living in this world and they can not resist to take sugar some time. In fact sugar is a type a starch which is present in different fruit and meals. If the diabetic patient has good control of his diabetes, he or she can take some sugar.
